A years worth of clothes

15 May

Everyone keeps asking how I packed for a year of travel. Since no one cares about what Hani brought, this is just a post about my clothes, so ladies, this one’s for you!

I had a really hard time figuring out what to bring. I wanted clothes that would last and that would be mixed and layer well. That concept was put to the test when we drove through the Panhandle and along the south in 50 degree rain.

Here’s my pile:

3 shorts, 3 jeans, 3 short dresses, 2 long dresses, 1 long skirt, 3 bathing suits, 1 coverup, bunch of tanks and short sleeves, 3 long sleeves (2 can be cuffed to make short or 3/4 sleeves), 1 long and 1 short set of pjs, sweatpants, exercise/hiking tops and bottoms in varying lengths, scarf, socks and undergarments. Not pictured is my West Marine foul weather jacket (thank you Kevin!), a windbreaker, hooded sweatshirt, 2 pairs flip flops, havaianas, crocs, and sneakers. I brought WAAAY too much! But surprisingly it all fit. Here’s everything in its neat lil cubbie:

The top shelf is jeans and jackets, second is mine, third is Hani’s and bottom is laundry and miscellaneous. Shoes are in a different area.

Oh and I’m already sick of what I brought 🙂
